Belly dance classes will encompass Barushka’s specific style of belly dance which is a rich blend and savory base of traditional and tribal fusion belly dance, Egyptian, Turkish, folkloric styles, a dash of classical Indian, a sprinkling of modern, a shot of flamenco with a splash of swing and vintage Jazz.

​​Each class will encompass a short warm up, techniques and drills along with combos and we’ll build up to improvisational dancing occasionally. We will cover using veils.
This course contains drop-in friendly classes yet some may hinge on earlier classes, but please feel free to try out a class whenever you like. Classes will be beginner and intermediate level depending on the over all collective class ability. All levels are welcome.

Attire: please wear comfortable form fitted clothing such as yoga pants/leggings and a form fitting top. No baggy tops and no dresses please. Bring a fun hip-scarf! Also no excessively noisy coin belts. We will warm up in bare feet but please bring socks or suede dance shoes or foot thongs to dance in.
